
DETROIT, April 18 (UPI) -- Chris Osgood's 14th career playoff shutout Saturday keyed the Detroit Red Wings' 4-0 win over Columbus in Game 2 of their Western Conference quarterfinal.
The veteran netminder was credited with 25 saves, 10 in the third period. The second-seeded Red Wings lead the series 2-0.
Detroit got goals from Brian Rafalski (power play) in the first period, Pavel Datsyuk (power play) and Henrik Zetterberg in the second, and Jiri Hudler (power play) in the third.
Penalties severely hampered Columbus, which compiled 24 penalty minutes and lost Mike Commodore on a10-minute misconduct in the third period.
Steve Mason was beaten four times on 39 shots, three during man-advantage situations.
In 120 minutes, the seventh-seeded Blue Jackets have scored just one goal on 46 shots against Osgood.
Columbus lost the opener Thursday 4-1.
