LOS ANGELES, April 18 (UPI) -- A two-out single by Mark Loretta in the seventh Friday drove in the go-ahead run and vaulted the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 4-3 win over Colorado.
Los Angeles fell behind 3-0 in the first inning and the game stayed that way until the seventh -- when the Dodgers scraped out four runs that brought them their sixth straight victory.
Matt Belisle took the mound for Colorado to start the seventh and gave up a single to Rafael Furcal at the end of a nine-pitch at-bat. Orlando Hudson drew a walk and Manny Ramirez singled to drive in Furcal and send Hudson to third.
Alan Embree (0-1) relieved Belisle and retired Matt Kemp on a fielder's choice grounder that forced Ramirez at second but allowed Hudson to score. Andre Ethier followed with a double that brought in Kemp with the tying run.
Loretta's single one out later drove in Ethier with the go-ahead score.
Guillermo Mota (1-0) worked the seventh and got the win.
Jonathan Broxton came on for the Dodgers in the eighth with Colorado having loaded the bases and only one out. Broxton got out of the jam by striking out two batters and then struck out two more in the ninth for his fourth save.
