MLB: St. Louis 7, Chi. Cubs 4

CHICAGO, April 16 (UPI) -- Chris Duncan's three hits and three RBI Thursday keyed the St. Louis Cardinals' 7-4 win over the Chicago Cubs.

Yadier Molina's seventh-inning RBI single broke a 4-4 tie and produced the eventual game-winning run.

Brian Barden also had three hits -- one an eighth-inning solo homer --, while Khalil Greene's lone hit was a solo homer in the sixth for the Cardinals, who have eight wins in the first 11 games.

Winner Adam Wainwright (2-0) was charged with four earned runs and six hits in six innings with four walks and six strikeouts.

Closer Ryan Franklin earned his second save.

He and Kyle McClellan combined to fan four batters in three innings.

Chicago's Kosuke Fukudome had two hits -- one a fifth-inning three-run homer.

Derrek Lee hit a first-inning sacrifice fly, while Aramis Ramirez added two hits in the Cubs' second straight defeat.

The losing pitcher was reliever David Patton (0-1).
