MLB: Chicago White Sox 10, Detroit 6

DETROIT, April 13 (UPI) -- Carlos Quentin had two homers Monday in the Chicago White Sox's 10-6 victory over the Detroit Tigers.

Jermaine Dye and Paul Konerko each hit their 300th major league career home run for Chicago.

Quentin drove in four runs and scored three times. Konerko was 4-for-5 with four RBI and two runs scored for Chicago, which had 16 hits.

Gavin Floyd (1-1) worked the first five innings for the win despite allowing six runs on five hits and seven walks.

Detroit starter Zach Miner (1-1) gave up eight runs on nine hits and three walks in 3 1/3 innings.

Ramon Santiago was 3-for-5 with a three-run homer and Josh Anderson drove in three runs for the Tigers.
