Tommie Harris' wife dies

DENVER, April 12 (UPI) -- St. Louis goaltender Chris Mason posted his sixth shutout this season Sunday, turning back 28 shots in a 1-0 Blues victory over the Colorado Avalanche.
The Blues now advance to the Western Conference playoffs where they play the Vancouver Canucks. Colorado's season is over.
Brad Boyes scored the St. Louis goal, which gave the Blues their third straight win.
Avalanche goalie Andrew Raycroft stopped 16 shots.
