MLB: Philadelphia 8, Colorado 4

DENVER, April 12 (UPI) -- Ryan Howard drove in three runs and Shane Victorino had three hits and scored two runs Saturday, leading the Philadelphia Phillies past Colorado 8-4.

Brett Myers (1-1) started and went seven innings, holding the Rockies to four runs on four hits and a walk, with six strikeouts.

Raul Ibanez had a solo homer, Jayson Werth drove in two with a triple, Chase Utley scored twice and drove in a run and Pedro Feliz had three hits and an RBI for the Phillies.

The Rockies -- who had a three-game winning streak stopped -- scored all their runs on homers by Clint Barmes, Troy Tulowitzki and Garrett Atkins.

Colorado starter Jorge De La Rosa (0-1) went 4 2/3 innings, allowing five runs on six hits with two walks and three strikeouts.

After Werth's two-run triple in the fifth off Ryan Speier put the Phillies ahead 5-3, Barmes jacked a leadoff homer off of Myers in the bottom ofthe inning to make it 5-4.

Ibanez made it 6-4 with a solo shot in the seventh and Utley followed with an RBI single in the eighth.
