EDMONTON, Alberta, April 11 (UPI) -- Sheldon Souray and Shawn Horcoff had a goal and two assists each Friday to lead the Edmonton Oilers to a 5-1 win over Calgary.
In the first game of a home-and-home set that continues Saturday in Calgary, the Oilers took a 2-0 lead after two periods and then erupted for three goals in the third to salt away their second win in their last three games.
Ales Kotalik, Steve MacIntyre and Patrick O'Sullivan scored for Edmonton and Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers posted 31 saves for his first win since Nov. 10.
Mike Cammalleri scored and Miikka Kiprusoff took the loss in goal for Calgary, allowing three goals on 31 shots. Curtis McElhinney allowed two goals on five shots in relief of Kiprusoff in the Flames' third loss in four games.
Calgary missed a chance to pick up a game on first-place Vancouver in the Northwest. The Canucks lead the Flames by two points and both teams have on regular-season game to play.
