MLS: Colorado 1, Columbus 1 (tie)

COLUMBUS, Ohio, April 11 (UPI) -- Conor Casey's goal in the 82nd minute Saturday helped the Colorado Rapids gain a 1-1 tie with defending MLS champion Columbus.

The Crew (0-2-3) took a 1-0 lead when Guillermo Barros Schelotto scored just before the half, assisted by Emmanuel Ekpo.

Casey -- who has scored four goals in his last two games -- put a shot past Columbus goalie Will Hesmer to tie the game and imrpove the Rapids' record to 2-1-1.
