SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 11 (UPI) -- Chris Rolfe's goal in the 85th minute Saturday pulled Chicago into a 3-3 tie with San Jose and allowed the Fire to remain unbeaten in four games.

Marco Pappa and Brian McBride scored the other Fire goals. Ryan Johnson, Bobby Convey and Arturo Alvarez scored for the Earthquakes (1-1-2).
San Jose opened the scoring with Johnson's goal in the 14th minute but Chicago got it back in the 41st minute when Pappa scored off a pass by Logan Pause. The Quakes went up 2-1 when Convey scored a few minutes later but the Fire came back a second time to make it 2-2 on McBride's goal following a header by Cuauhtemoc Blanco.
San Jose went ahead 3-2 in the 75th when Alvarez scored on a penalty kick. Rolfe scored the game-tying goal off a pass from Pappa.
