MARBELLA, Spain, April 11 (UPI) -- Jelena Jankovic and Carla Suarez Navarro won Saturday's semifinals at the Andalucia Tennis Experience in Marbella, Spain.
During Saturday's second match, the second-seeded Jankovic beat Anabel Medina Garrigues 7-5, 6-2.
Earlier, Suarez Navarro, the fifth seed, topped unseeded Sorana Cirstea 6-2, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2.
When Jankovic meets Suarez Navarro Sunday, she will be going after her first title this season and the 10th of her career. The 2008 U.S. Open runner-up won the final five games against Medina Garrigues, a crowd favorite.
Suarez Navarro dropped a tough second-set tiebreak, but finally seized control in the final set. She has never won a women's singles crown but, like Medina Garrigues, she is from Spain and likely will enjoy a home advantage against her favored Serbian foe.
Jankovic won their only other two matches, both in straight sets.
The winner will pocket $112,303.
