PHILADELPHIA, April 10 (UPI) -- A 27-point performance by LeBron James Friday brought Cleveland a 102-92 win over Philadelphia that clinched the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Cavaliers will have home-court advantage throughout the conference playoffs. They went into the night's action with a half-game lead over the Los Angeles Lakers for the best overall record in the NBA.
Cleveland has lost only one home game in 39 appearances this season, but that one loss came against the Lakers.
James added 10 assists and helped Cleveland expand on what had been only a two-point lead early in the fourth quarter. Mo Williams and Wally Szczerbiak both had 18 points for the Cavaliers, who won their third straight.
Cleveland made 12-of-23 shots from 3-point range.
Philadelphia, which has clinched a playoff berth and went into the evening holding down the sixth seed in the East, was led by 26 points from Andre Iguodala.
