OAKLAND, Calif., April 9 (UPI) -- Sebastian Telfair produced 21 points Wednesday and Minnesota cooled off Golden State's late-season rush by downing the Warriors 105-97.
The Warriors had been trying to win their fourth consecutive game, which would have been their longest winning streak of the season. The injury-plagued Warriors had only eight available players.
Minnesota won its third straight road game after having captured just 9-of-36 away from home. The Wolves have won four of their last six overall.
Kevin Love added 21 points for the Timberwolves, who went to the foul line 17 more times than did Golden State. Minnesota owned a five-point lead going into the fourth period and Golden State came no closer than that through all of the final quarter.
The Warriors were led by Jamal Crawford with 31 points.
