German goalie's death called suicide

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla., April 8 (UPI) -- Nadia Petrova and Dominika Cibulkova, seeded first and third, were easy winners Wednesday in the second round of the MPS Group Championships in Florida.
Petrova, ranked 10th in the world, needed just 75 minutes to sail past Madison Keys 6-3, 6-2. Keys, 14, was making her WTA Tour debut.
Cibulkova was a 6-1, 6-3 winner over Anastasia Rodionova and will meet Elena Vesnina in Friday's quarterfinals.
In other second-round action, No. 7 seed Alona Bondarenko defeated her younger sister Kateryna 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. Vesnina ousted Patricia Mayr 1-6, 6-3, 6-2. The Bondarenko sisters have split six career meetings on the WTA Tour.
Petrova will face Bondarenko in the quarterfinals.
