NASHVILLE, April 8 (UPI) -- Jonathan Toews sparked a three-goal outburst in the second period and Nikolai Khabibulin had 22 saves Tuesday, carrying Chicago to a 4-2 win over Nashville.
Dustin Byfuglien and Patrick Kane also scored in the second period for Chicago, which had already clinched a playoff berth and is now seeking home-ice advantage in the first round.
Vernon Fiddler and Jason Arnott scored for the Predators, who hold the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Pekka Rinne allowed three goals on 27 shots in the loss.
