LOS ANGELES, April 6 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom had 18 points apiece and Odom had 10 rebounds Sunday to lead the Los Angeles Lakers past the Los Angeles Clippers 88-85.

Pau Gasol had 14 points and nine rebounds for Lakers, who have won three straight and lead the Western Conference -- and have pulled within one game of the Cleveland Cavaliers for the best record in the NBA.

Eric Gordon led the Clippers -- losers of five straight -- with 24 points. Zach Randolph finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lakers jumped out to an early lead and carried a comfortable lead into the fourth quarter but the Clippers pulled off a 16-0 run -- led by eight points from Fred Jones -- to get within 81-78 with just under 2 ½ minutes to play.

Bryant made two free throws to put the Lakers up 87-82 with 10 seconds to play but Gordon's 3-pointer kept the Clippers in the hunt. The Clippers' Baron Davis missed a 3-point try in the closing seconds.
