SUNRISE, Fla., April 5 (UPI) -- David Booth's power-play goal with 12 seconds left in the second period turned out to be the game-winner for Florida Sunday in a 4-2 triumph over Pittsburgh.

Booth was assisted by Jay Bouwmeester and Cory Stillman on a goal that sent the Panthers ahead 3-1.

Ville Peltonen tacked on another goal in the third period and Bryan McCabe and Rostislav Olesz had scored earlier for Carolina, which is tied with the New York Rangers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Pascal Dupuis and Mark Eaton scored for Pittsburgh, which remained in sixth place in the conference.

Tomas Vokoun stopped 41 shots for Carolina and Marc-Andre Fleury had 22 for the Penguins.
