DALLAS, April 5 (UPI) -- Trevor Daley's goal 16 seconds into overtime Saturday boosted the Dallas Stars to a 5-4 victory against the St. Louis Blues.
Daley's seventh goal this season was a slapshot past Chris Mason after an assist by Mike Modano.
Dallas' Loui Eriksson scored twice and Mike Ribeiro once. Tom Wandell had two assists, while Matt Climie, in his NHL debut, stopped 22-of-26 shots for the Stars -- who have won two of three but are out of the Western Conference playoff race because the Blues, with 86 points, lead them by four in the Western Conference with three games left.
St. Louis was led by Brad Boyes' two goals and two assists. T.J. Oshie (power play) and David Backes scored once each, and Mason was beaten five times on 24 shots for the Blues, who had a 3-1 advantage in the season series.
