NBA: New Jersey 96, Philadelphia 67

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., April 5 (UPI) -- Vince Carter scored 15 points, heading a balanced New Jersey attack Sunday in a 96-67 Nets romp over the cold-shooting Philadelphia 76ers.

Six other Nets scored in double figures, including Bobby Simmons with 14 points and Devin Harris, Jarvis Hayes, Brook Lopez and Chris Douglas-Roberts with 13 apiece.

New Jersey, which did not make the playoffs this season, swept its season series with Philadelphia.

Lou Williams scored 14 points for Philadelphia, which shot at just 35.1 percent from the field.

The Sixers clinched a playoff berth by beating Detroit Saturday.
