
DENVER, April 5 (UPI) -- J.R. Smith scored 34 points Saturday to help the Denver Nuggets get their sixth straight victory, a 120-104 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Carmelo Anthony added 18 point and Chris Andersen had 13 points and eight rebounds for Denver, which has won 11 of its last 12 games. The Nuggets played without forward Kenyon Martin, who suffered a rib injury in Thursday's win over Utah.
Denver has clinched the Northwest Division title and is second in the Western Conference behind the Los Angeles Lakers.
Zach Randolph had 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Clippers, who have lost four in a row and seven of their last eight. DeAndre Jordan had 21 points and eight rebounds and Baron Davis had 16 points, eight assists and five rebounds for LA.
