CLEVELAND, April 5 (UPI) -- LeBron James's dominant 38 points, seven assists and six rebounds Sunday carried the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 101-81 rout of the San Antonio Spurs.
His 18 points helped Cleveland to a 28-27 advantage after the first period, and by halftime, when Cleveland led 55-42, he had scored 26 points.
Delonte West scored 22 with six assists. Mo Williams also scored 22 with five rebounds and four assists, while Zydrunas Ilgauskas added eight points and 10 rebounds for the Cavaliers, who avoided a three-game losing streak and moved four games ahead of idle Boston for the playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Tony Parker led San Antonio with 24 points and four assists.
Reserve Drew Gooden, a former Cavalier, added 15 points with five rebounds, but no other player scored in double figures for the Spurs, who have lost three of four.
