CARSON, Calif., April 5 (UPI) -- Conor Casey scored a hat trick Saturday, lifting the Colorado Rapids to a 3-2 MLS win over Los Angeles.

Casey's first goal of the night -- just 17 seconds into the game -- set a record for the earliest goal ever in an MLS game. He scored his second in the 49th minute to pull the Rapids (2

1) into a 2-2 tie and then scored the game winner in the 84th minute.

Omar Gonzalez scored for the Galaxy (0-1-1) to make it 1-1 in the 37th minute and LA went up 2-1 early in the second half on a goal by Alan Gordon off a feed from Landon Donovan.

The Galaxy played the final 30 minutes a man down after Dema Kovalenko drew a red card for a hard tackle on Colorado's Mehdi Ballouchy.
