PHOENIX, April 4 (UPI) -- Steve Nash put on a 29-point show Friday that helped the Phoenix Suns dominate the second half en route to a 139-111 victory over Sacramento.
The Suns took advantage of a loss by Dallas earlier in the evening to move within three games of the Mavericks for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Both teams have six games to play.
Sacramento used a 40-point second period to climb within four at halftime, but the Suns pulled away, with Nash hitting 12-of-19 from the floor. He came within three points of his season high.
Jason Richardson added 19 for the Suns, who put eight of the 11 players who saw action in double figures.
Sacramento, winners of an NBA low 16 games this season, was led by Francisco Garcia with 29 points.
