VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 3 (UPI) -- Corey Perry's goal in the shootout Thursday gave Anaheim a 6-5 win over Vancouver -- and also gave the Ducks' playoffs hopes a boost.
Perry also scored in regulation, and Teemu Selanne and Bobby Ryan had two goals apiece for the Ducks, who have won three straight and eight of their last nine games -- and have climbed into seventh place in the Western Conference playoff hunt with 86 points.
Anaheim trails sixth-place Columbus by two points. The Ducks lead eighth-place St. Louis by one point and are just two points ahead of ninth-place Nashville.
Anaheim has four regular-season games left, including home-and-home games against the hot San Jose Sharks.
Jonas Hiller finished with 25 saves for the Ducks.
Daniel and Henrik Sedin each had a goal and two assists for Vancouver, which has 94 points and is tied with Calgary for first place in the Northwest Division -- although the Flames have two more wins than the Canucks.
Roberto Luongo stopped 27 shots for Vancouver, which had won three straight coming into the game -- and also had an 11-game home-ice winning streak broken.
The Canucks have five regular season games left.
