MIAMI, April 2 (UPI) -- Cleveland Browns receiver Donte Stallworth surrendered to authorities in Miami Thursday to face a DUI manslaughter charge in a crash that killed a pedestrian.

Stallworth made a brief court appearance before being led away in handcuffs for processing at the jail, The Miami Herald reported.

Stallworth, 28, is charged in the death of Mario Reyes, who was struck and killed March 14 as he crossed a Miami Beach street in front of the NFL player's Bentley. Court documents filed Wednesday said blood tests revealed Stallworth had a blood alcohol level of 0.12 after the accident. Florida's legal limit is .08.

Stallworth told officers he flashed the lights of his Bentley when he saw Reyes, the newspaper said.

Stallworth's bond was set at $200,000. He will be allowed to live in both Florida and Ohio until the case goes to trial but must notify the court when he travels between the two states, the Herald said. He lists a Cleveland address, court documents said.

Under terms of his bond, Stallworth has a midnight-6 a.m. curfew and cannot drive. He also cannot have alcohol and will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing through the National Football League's substance abuse program.

DUI manslaughter is a felony that has an indiscriminate prison sentence of four years to 15 years.
