PORTLAND, Ore., April 1 (UPI) -- LaMarcus Aldridge scored 26 points and Brandon Roy had 25 points and 11 assists Tuesday to power the Portland Trail Blazers past the Utah Jazz 125-104.
It was the third consecutive game Portland has won by at least 20 points and put the Blazers a game ahead of the formidable Jazz in the Northwest.
Travis Outlaw and Nicolas Batum each tallied 17 points for Portland.
Utah, which had won its last two games, had 20 points from Carlos Boozer, 16 points from Deron Williams and 14 from Ronnie Brewer.
Utah was never able to seriously challenge the home team. Portland, which shot nearly 62 percent for the game, built a 21-9 lead early in the game after Roy dunked on a drive to the basket. Outlaw's jumper gave the Blazers a comfortable 61-48 lead at halftime.
Boozer and Portland's Joel Pryzbilla squared off verbally in the third quarter and were both ejected.
