MILWAUKEE, April 1 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant scored 30 points Wednesday and the Los Angeles Lakers pulled away late to defeat Milwaukee 104-98.
The Bucks took a one-point lead into the final period, but the Lakers managed to end a rare two-game losing streak and win for the sixth time in eight outings.
Bryant hit his first seven shots of the game and wound up making 10-of-19 from the field and all nine of his attempts from the line. His effort came one night after he made just 11-of-28 in a loss at Charlotte.
The Lakers wrapped up a seven-game road trip. Lamar Odom added 20 points and 10 rebounds, helping Los Angeles avoid what would have been its first three-game losing streak since January 2008.
Milwaukee was led by 29 points from Richard Jefferson. The Bucks fell four games behind Chicago for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. It was Milwaukee's sixth loss in seven games.
