Arbitrators rule against Orioles pitcher Bergesen

BOSTON, March 31 (UPI) -- Zdeno Chara had a goal and an assist Tuesday in the streaking Boston Bruins' 3-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Blake Wheeler and Chuck Kobasew also scored for the Bruins, who have won four in a row. Boston, with 108 points, increased its lead over second-seeded Washington to nine points and moved ahead of Detroit into second overall. The Bruins are three points behind San Jose for the best record in the NHL.
Manny Fernandez made 24 saves for Boston.
Steven Stamkos scored the lone goal for the Lightning, who have lost seven of their last eight games. Mike McKenna allowed three goals on 39 shots.
