NHL: N.Y. Rangers 3, New Jersey 0

NEW YORK, March 30 (UPI) -- Henrik Lundqvist stopped 38 shots Monday in his third shutout of season to lead the New York Rangers to a 3-0 win over the New Jersey Devils.

Brandon Dubinsky, Dan Girardi and Ryan Callahan each scored second-period goals for the Rangers, who moved to one point behind sixth-place Pittsburgh in the NHL Eastern Conference playoff race.

Martin Brodeur made 34 saves for the Devils, who suffered their fifth straight loss.

New Jersey holds the third seed in the East and first place in the Atlantic Division with 98 points.
