NHL: Minnesota 3, Edmonton 2

EDMONTON, Alberta, March 29 (UPI) -- Marian Gaborik, Andrew Brunette and Martin Skoula scored for Minnesota in a 3-2 Wild win Sunday over the Edmonton Oilers.

Both teams are struggling to get into the Western Conference playoffs. Edmonton is 10th and Minnesota 11th, both needing to reach the No. 8 spot to get into the post-season.

Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom picked up his 34th win of the season, blocking 31 shots.

Ales Kotalik and Fernando Pisani got the Oilers' goals and Dwayne Roloson had 18 saves.

Edmonton has lost four of its last five contests.
