NHL: Boston 4, Philadelphia 3

PHILADELPHIA, March 29 (UPI) -- Tim Thomas stopped 45 shots and Milan Lucic scored twice for Boston Sunday in a 4-3 Bruins victory over the Philadelphia Flyers.

Dennis Wideman and Mark Recchi also scored for Boston, which leads the Eastern Conference with 106 points, seven more than Washington.

Claude Giroux, Mike Richards and Simon Gagne scored for the Flyers, who are a point in front of Carolina for the No. 4 spot in the conference playoff race.

Philadelphia goalie Antero Niittymaki made 27 saves.
