PORTLAND, Ore., March 29 (UPI) -- Brandon Roy's 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists Saturday led the Portland Trail Blazers' 86-66 rout of the Memphis Grizzlies.
Memphis faced a 25-16 deficit after the first period and, because of a 41.2 shooting percentage, was never able to mount a sustained comeback.
A 10-2 run, capped by a LaMarcus Aldridge layup, put Portland ahead 48-34 just before halftime.
Aldridge scored 18 with seven rebounds and Greg Oden added 12 points and nine rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who have won five of seven and are 1 1/2 games behind the Northwest Division-leading Denver Nuggets.
Rookie O.J. Mayo led Memphis with 12 points and five assists. Marc Gasol scored 10 with four rebounds, but no other player reached double figures the Grizzlies, who missed all eight of their 3-point attempts and suffered the sixth loss in their last seven games.
