
INDIANAPOLIS, March 29 (UPI) -- Danny Granger's 31 points and six rebounds Sunday led the Indiana Pacers to a 124-115 victory against the Washington Wizards.
The winners took a 59-52 edge into the break and led 92-76 after the third period. Antawn Jamison's 3-pointer drew Washington within 118-109 with 2:32 left but the Wizards' comeback effort ran out of gas.
Brandon Rush scored 29 with 10 rebounds. Jarrett Jack had 19 points, seven assists and six rebounds, and Roy Hibbert had 12 points and eight rebounds for the Pacers, who have won three of four and are 4 1/2 games behind eighth-place Chicago for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot.
Caron Butler led Washington with 31 points and 13 rebounds. Jamison had 29 points and six rebounds.
Javaris Crittenton scored 19 with four rebounds and three assists, while Andray Blatche added 12 points with three rebounds for the Wizards, who have lost seven of eight.
