SAN JOSE, Calif., March 29 (UPI) -- Cam Weaver and Arturo Alvarez had a goal and an assist each Saturday night and the San Jose Earthquakes beat Houston 3-2 for their first win of the MLS season.

The game was scoreless until the final 15 minutes of the first half, and all of the scoring occurred before the break.

Ryan Johnson gave the Earthquakes (2-1-1) a 1-0 lead and Alvarez made it 2-0 3 minutes later. The Dynamo (2

1) got one back right away on Chris Wondolowski goal off a Stuart Holden feed, and then Houston tied it when Brad Davis scored from the top of the penalty area.

Weaver scored the decisive goal in the 44th minute.
