COL BKB (W): Purdue 67, Rutgers 61

OKLAHOMA CITY, March 29 (UPI) -- Lakisha Freeman's 18 points, six rebounds and five assists Sunday led Purdue to a 67-61 NCAA Tournament Oklahoma City Regional victory against Rutgers.

Sixth-seeded Purdue used runs of 15-4 and 12-0 in the first half to open a 40-33 lead at the break and secured the win in the final minute with FahKara Malone's basket and two free throws by Jodi Howell.

Howell finished with 15 points (3-of-4 3-pointers), while Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton had 13 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Boilermakers (25-10), who advance to Tuesday's regional final against the winner of Sunday's game between Pittsburgh and Oklahoma.

Brittany Ray led seventh-seeded Rutgers with 19 points and five rebounds. Epiphanny Prince scored 15 with three steals.

Khadijah Rushdan scored 11 with five rebounds, and Kia Vaughn added 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Lady Scarlet Knights, who finished with a 21-13 record.
