MEMPHIS, March 29 (UPI) -- Ty Lawson scored 19 points Sunday and top-seeded North Carolina booked a spot in the Final Four with a 72-60 win over Oklahoma in the South Region final.

UNC led the contest at Memphis's FedEx Forum 32-23 at the break.

In its second straight Four appearance, it will face No. 3 seed Villanova next Saturday at the national semifinals in Detroit.

Danny Green scored 18 with three rebounds.

Deon Thompson scored 10 points.

Wayne Ellington scored nine with three rebounds, and in a sub-par performance, four-time all-America forward Tyler Hansbrough scored just eight points with six rebounds.

The Poplar Bluff, Mo., native played only 9 minutes in the first half because of foul problems.

Eventually, he was not needed.

Blake Griffin led OU with 23 points and 16 rebounds.

Willie Warren, the only other player in double figures, scored 18 with three assists for the Sooners (30-6), who committed 15 turnovers and faced a double-digit deficit the entire second half.
