DENVER, March 28 (UPI) -- Daniel Sedin put Vancouver in front 37 seconds deep in the third period and the Canucks scored three times in the final stanza Friday to defeat Colorado 4-1.

Both Daniel and Henrik Sedin had a goal and an assist, giving Vancouver its sixth win in eight games. The Canucks trail Calgary by a point for first place in the Northwest Division.

Jason LaBarbera, making his first start since Feb. 13, stopped 22 shots.

Colorado, which has lost six in a row and 13 out of 16, produced the first goal of the game. Andrew Raycroft then allowed four goals on 34 shots.

Daniel Sedin's go-ahead goal came when he poked in a rebound of a Mats Sundin shot. Pavol Demitra gave the Canucks a two-goal lead less than four minutes later.

Demitra is one goal away from 300 for his NHL career.
