HOUSTON, March 28 (UPI) -- Yao Ming had 21 points and 15 rebounds and Aaron Brooks scored 21 Saturday to lead the Houston Rockets to a 110-93 win over the LA Clippers.
Shane Battier added 15 points and Luis Scola and Ron Artest scored 13 each for the Rockets, who are one game behind the Southwest Division-leading Spurs after winning five of their last six games.
The Clippers, playing without Marcus Camby (ankle) and Baron Davis (stomach ulcer), were led by Eric Gordon's 17 points with Chris Kaman adding 16.
The Rockets led 30-17 at the end of the first period and were ahead by 30 points early in the fourth.
