SALT LAKE CITY, March 25 (UPI) -- Deron Williams scored 19 points to lead the Utah Jazz past Houston 99-86 Tuesday in a match-up between two hot teams.
The victory was the 13th consecutive home win for the Jazz and their 15th win in their last 18 games.
Williams notched a dozen assists from the point, while Ronnie Brewer added 17 points and Paul Millsap 15.
Aaron Brooks was high scorer for Houston with 20 points. The Rockets had their four-game winning streak broken, but the loss was only their fifth in their last 21 contests.
Utah led much of the way, although they held only a 3-point advantage at halftime, 46-43.
The Rockets took a brief 53-50 lead late in the third quarter on a jump shot by Yao Ming, who totaled 14 points and 13 rebounds for the game. Utah, however, rattled off nine unanswered points and led 75-67 at the end of the third.
