BOISE, Idaho, March 22 (UPI) -- B.J. Raymond's 15 points led a balanced attack Sunday and helped Xavier beat Wisconsin 60-49 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Boise, Idaho.
In a physical, defensive-minded tussle, the Musketeers, the fourth seed in the East Region, stretched their 40-39 lead with 6:42 left in the contest by scoring 20 of the game's final 30 points.
Derrick Brown scored 10 with four rebounds, and Dante Jackson added eight points and five rebounds for the Musketeers (27-7), who face top-seeded Pittsburgh at the Sweet 16 in Boston Thursday. Pitt beat Oklahoma State 84-76 Sunday in Dayton, Ohio.
Marcus Landry led Wisconsin with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Despite sinking just 3-of-16 shots, Trevon Hughes scored 17 points with four rebounds, but no other player scored in double figures for the 12th-seeded Badgers, who finished with a 20-13 record.
Hughes' game-winning bucket gave Wisconsin a 61-59 overtime upset of fifth-seeded Florida State Friday.
