Women's final set at Indian Wells

INDIAN WELLS, Calif., March 21 (UPI) -- Olympic bronze medalist Vera Zvonareva and Ana Ivanovic reached the finals with easy wins Friday at the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells, Calif.

Zvonareva cruised past Victoria Azarenka 6-3, 6-3 and Ivanovic was a 6-2, 6-3 winner over Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova.

Azarenka saw her great start to the 2009 season slowed. She still has a 17-2 record this year, including the first two WTA titles of her career.

Ivanovic will be appearing in her 12th career final and will be seeking her ninth title. This will be her first appearance in a title match this season.

She holds a 4-3 edge in the all-time series with Zvonareva.
