OAKLAND, Calif., March 21 (UPI) -- Brandan Wright poured in 25 points Friday and the Golden State Warriors used a third-quarter run to defeat Philadelphia 119-111.
The 76ers lost their second straight, but stayed in the sixth position in the Eastern Conference playoff race -- a half game in front of Detroit.
Philadelphia has a four-game cushion over ninth-place Charlotte for the final post-season berth.
Wright made 10-of-13 shots from the field and all five of his foul shots in helping the Warriors bounce back from a close loss to the Los Angeles Lakers Thursday.
Monta Ellis added 21 and Anthony Morrow had 16 for Golden State.
The 76ers got 16 points from Thaddeus Young.
Golden State went on a 13-2 run during the middle stages of the third period to take a 77-64 lead. The 76ers came no closer than five the rest of the way.
