PALM HARBOR, Fla., March 21 (UPI) -- Tom Lehman had a 3-under 68 Saturday to take a one-shot lead over Retief Goosen after three rounds of the PGA Transitions Championship at Palm Harbor, Fla.
Lehman, the 1996 British Open Champion, completed 54 holes at 8-under-par 205 for his first 54-hole lead since the 2005 Buick Invitational, where he wound up in second place.
Lehman is only 3-of-15 when holding the 54-hole lead, with his last title at the 1996 Tour Championship.
Goosen, a two-time U.S. Open champion, posted a 2-under 69 to move into second at 206.
Masters champion Trevor Immelman (70) shares third place with Stuart Appleby (71), Charles Howell III (71) and Jonathan Byrd (71). Steve Stricker (73) and Nick Watney (74), who shared the second-round lead, both lost ground Saturday.
