NEWARK, N.J., March 20 (UPI) -- Martin Brodeur's 553rd career victory Friday led the New Jersey Devils to a 4-0 win over the Minnesota Wild.

The win was their 11th in a row on home ice.

The 36-year-old Brodeur recorded his fifth shutout this season by turning away 35 shots.

Earlier this season, he was sidelined nearly four months by a left elbow injury.

New Jersey got two goals from Patrik Elias and one each from Brian Gionta (18) and Johnny Oduya (7).

Elias scored his 29th (unassisted) in the second period and 30th (power play) in the third.

The Devils' Zach Parise added two assists.

Starting Minnesota goaltender Niklas Backstrom was lifted after he was beaten three times in the second.

Backup Josh Harding gave up a goal on 17 shots for the Wild, whose loss severely damaged their post-season aspirations.

With 74 points, they trail both Edmonton and Nashville in the Western Conference playoff picture.
