NEW YORK, March 20 (UPI) -- Kevin Martin scored 30 points Friday in leading Sacramento to a 121-94 win over New York, the Kings first victory this season against an Eastern Conference foe.

The Kings had lost their first 28 games of the year against teams from the East.

Beno Udrih added 20 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in helping the Kings halt a five-game losing streak. Sacramento won on the road for just the fifth time this season.

Both Spencer Hawes and Jason Thompson contributed 13 points for the Kings, whose 55 percent shooting performance was their best of the campaign.

The Knicks, losers of three in a row, got 19 points from Nate Robinson.

Sacramento scored the first 15 points of the game and eventually built a 19-point halftime lead. New York missed its first nine attempts from the field.
