
TORONTO, March 20 (UPI) -- Boris Diaw's season-high 30 points Friday helped the Charlotte Bobcats record a 102-89 win over the Toronto Raptors.
Charlotte got off to a quick start, taking a 33-24 lead after the first period but the Raptors came within two points (52-50) by halftime. A 30-20 third period helped the winners continue their push for their first-ever playoff berth.
Gerald Wallace also scored 30 with nine rebounds and eight assists while Raymond Felton added 14 with seven assists for the Bobcats, who pulled within a game of Chicago for the final playoff slot in the Eastern Conference.
Chris Bosh led Toronto with 35 points and seven rebounds. Andrea Bargnani had 27 points and seven rebounds, while Jose Calderon added eight points and 11 assists for the Raptors, who lost for the ninth time in their last 10 games.
