EDMONTON, Alberta, March 18 (UPI) -- Dwayne Roloson made 30 saves and Ales Kotalik secured Edmonton's 2-1 win over St. Louis Tuesday by scoring the only goal in an overtime shootout.

Sheldon Souray had put the Oilers up 1-0 with a power-play goal midway through the first period and David Backes tallied with the man-advantage in the second period for the Blues.

Neither side could break through in the third period or overtime session that led to the shootout.

Chris Mason made 33 saves in the loss.

Vancouver broke a three-game losing streak and the Blues have lost two of three.
