NEW YORK, March 18 (UPI) -- Vince Carter made five 3-point shots and scored 29 points Wednesday in carrying New Jersey to a 115-89 blasting of New York.

The Nets halted a four-game losing streak, getting 23 points and eight assists from Brook Lopez and 17 points from Keyon Dooling. Chris Douglas-Roberts added a season-best 14 points.

New Jersey, which is 2 1/2 games out of the final playoff position in the East, played without guard Devin Harris. He was diagnosed with a sprained shoulder on Tuesday. Sean Williams also missed the game as a result of a suspension for conduct detrimental to the team.

Al Harrington scored 21 for the Knicks.

New Jersey had an 11-point halftime lead and increased it to 17 less than 2 minutes into the third period.
