NHL: New Jersey 3, Chicago 2

NEWARK, N.J., March 17 (UPI) -- Martin Brodeur became the NHL's all-time winningest goaltender Tuesday when he backstopped the New Jersey Devils' 3-2 win over Chicago.

Brodeur, 36, made 30 saves to post his 552nd victory and move ahead of Patrick Roy for the most victories in league history.

Patrik Elias became New Jersey's all-time leading scorer Tuesday with an assist on a goal by Brian Gionta. The assist gave Elias, who has played his entire career with New Jersey, 702 points, passing current Devils Assistant Coach John MacLean.

Jamie Langenbrunner and Travis Zajac also scored for New Jersey, which has won eight of its last nine games.

Cam Barker and Dustin Byfuglien scored for the Blackhawks, who have lost eight of their last 11 games. Nikolai Khabibulin allowed three goals on 30 shots.
