NHL: St. Louis 5, Minnesota 3

ST. LOUIS, March 15 (UPI) -- Five players scored and Chris Mason blocked 19 shots for the St. Louis Blues, who defeated Minnesota 5-3 Sunday, hurting the Wild's playoff hopes.

Brad Boyes notched a goal and assist and Keith Tkachuk, Brad Winchester, David Backes and David Perron scored in the Blues' seventh victory in 10 games.

Andrew Brunette, Stephane Veilleux and Marc-Andre Bergeron scored for the Wild.

Niklas Backstrom turned in 25 saves for Minnesota, which has lost four games in a row and remains a point behind Edmonton and Nashville for the final Western Conference playoff spot.
