EDMONTON, Alberta, March 15 (UPI) -- John-Michael Liles's goal 42 seconds into overtime Saturday night boosted the Colorado Avalanche to a 3-2 win over Edmonton.

Liles also had two assists -- both on power-play goals by Darcy Tucker and Paul Stastny -- and Peter Budaj stopped 18 shots for Colorado, which has won three of its last four games following a six-game losing streak.

Robert Nilsson and Sheldon Souray scored for the Oilers, who lost their third straight overtime decision. Dwayne Roloson let in three goals on 30 shots for Edmonton.

Souray tied the game 2-2 when he beat Budaj for a score at 14:40 of the third period. Liles scored the game winner when he picked up a rebound of a shot by Marek Svatos and dropped it past Roloson.

Colorado went 2-for-4 on the power play, while the Oilers were 0-for-2.

Edmonton is 2-for-37 with the man-advantage in its last 10 games.
